Science Lesson - solid liquid and gas

Today we looked at physical properties of matter.

Did you know that water can exist in 3 states? A gas, liquid or solid.

When you put a liquid on a stove and heat it up and put it on 100 degrees celsius it turns into steam which is a gas.

When you put a liquid in a freezer at 0 degrees celsius it turns into ice which is a solid liquid. Heating ice will change it back to a liquid.Steam can be changed back to a liquid by cooling it down. This process is called condensation.

Here are some facts. Water has 3 states of matter gas, liquid and solid. The three states are known as steam water and ice. Water boilers at 100 degrees celsius. Water freezes at 0 degrees celsius. The scientific name for water is h2o.
