Madhyamaka Buddhist Meditation Temple

This is the Madhyamaka Buddhist Meditation Temple in Polkington near York. We are here for a week doing a working visit. We are going to live like the monks do.

This used to be a historical house. Our bedroom is the second third and fourth windows.

Á Coruna

We went to the beach as a treat. It was freezing.

Today we went to Muxía Beach and the water was very very cold.

I know the reason the water was so cold because there is no land between here and the north pole - adn that is very close.

Me with my hat on at santiago.

Pilgrim Mass at Santiago Cathedral

Today was the day we went to the pilgrim mass in Santiago. There was music and the smell of the holy smoke was amazing.

The best thing about mass was the big incense burner which  looked like a swing swinging side to side up and down.

The Cathedral was packed and we had to sit on the floor. It is this busy every day. Can you imagine how many people are walking the camino every day?

Day 48. To Beonte

Today in the morning we lost Morgan. We lost him for two hours.

We packed up in our room and i was very slack and had all of my things spread all over the room. It took me a very long time to pack my things. even though Mum has a rule that we have everything packed by the night before.

Morgan left the room. We came down into the bar about 10 mins later. I looked everywhere for Morgan but there was no sight of him. Mum and I thought he had walked on so we walked for a long time and stopped and asked everyone "Have you seen this boy, have you seen this boy?" The response was"no" every time. We "coo ed"out over the mountains for him. I was scared that we lost Morgan. What made it most difficult was that our phones were "out of service" and no network was around - so we couldnt call him.

We went back to the albergue and there he was sitting at a table in the cáfe.

We were happy because we saw him there. He had done all the right things we had planned if we ever got lost. He called Michael in Australia and talked to him every five mins. He stayed where he last saw us and didn't move.

Day 40 to la Herrirres

Today was hot and in the afternoon at 4:00 pm it got up to 23 degrees so we got into an albergue before it got to
4:00 pm which is lucky.

We had to walk along the road to La Herriers.

Mum say signs about horses and we went to look to see if we could go on them. Mum decided to book us in for tomorrow first thing. Its so exciting.
